Here at makemyebook we have made the ebook formatting and conversion process as quick and as easy for you as possible via our upload page.
Step 1. Enter your name, email address and address.
This email address is the one to which the completed ebook files will be sent.
Step 2. Upload your cover image.*
The image needs to be portrait shaped, in jpeg format and with minimum dimensions of 768x1024px at 150dpi. It is your responsibility to secure any rights necessary to use the image.
Step 3. Upload your text as a Word document.
Please be sure to include a title page. You may wish to include additional information such as copyright notices or ISBN details on this page. Do not use the tab button or multiple space-bar strokes to position text as these are not understood by e-reader devices. Instead use the centre text button or proper indentation rules. More infomation on prepearing your Word document for conversion can be found on our guidelines page.
Step 4. Click submit to be taken to the payment page, where you should select the package you require and make your payment:
Fewer than 10,000 words = £29
10,000 – 100,000 words = £49
100,001 – 250,000 words = £65
Over 250,000 words or for picture heavy books = Please contact us for a quote.
You can pay with a PayPal account if you have one, or via credit/debit card if you don’t.
That is it! Within 2 working days, you will receive files of two types: a .mobi file (for upload to Amazon’s Kindle Store) and an .epub file (suitable for upload to Apple’s ibookstore, Barnes & Noble, Google Play and most other ebook sellers). We will also provide you with a Smashwords ready epub if you wish to distribute your ebook that way. The email you receive will also contain instructions about how to test and view the files yourself.
* Should you require it, we can offer a basic cover design service for £20 + any costs related to the image. Please contact us directly before uploading your book to discuss cover design. Although it is possible to publish ebooks without a cover image, this is not recommended as it is likely to adversely affect sales.
